Distant Star Games is a small group dedicated to making old-school beat-em-up style games using the Beats of Rage Engine. Right now we only have two full-time official members to the team: myself (Meli), and Kungpow (Tommy). I do sprite animations and refinement, and he does all the coding and scripting and a good amount of spriting himself. We also have several people who help us out from time to time, including base sprite rippers and a beta tester. We have two games completed at the moment, and several either in the development or planning stages. Our biggest project right now is Destiny Revival:
[link]It's a series of Sailor Moon games based on the anime series. The first two (now available for download) are re-makes of the two Sailor Moon games originally released on the SNES. They've been given 4-player compatibility, new enemies, new bosses, and a storyline that more closely matches the series. Currently in production is the Sailor V game, in which we'll be testing out the mechanics of the newly updated version of BoR. It will serve basically to smooth out any programming issues so that we'll have smooth sailing on our next project, Sailor Moon S.
I want to make it totally clear that we don't make *any money* on any of these projects. They are games made by fans for fans, just for the fun of it. We have a few original projects slated that we will be selling in the future, but all of our fan-games are totally free.
If you like what you see and are interested in joining the team, please either note us or e-mail us at the address listed in the profile. We are looking mainly for sprite animators at the moment, but any help in the development process would be great.
